BELBO Beauty Institute has a team of knowledgeable professionals dedicated to help you find the financial assistance you may need to meet the cost of education. We know this can be intimidating, but don’t worry, our staff will walk you through the process step-by-step and answer all of your questions. Paying for school doesn’t have to be complicated.

At this time, only BELBO Beauty Institute-Shreveport is eligible for Title IV assistance. Our Little Rock location only accepts outside Scholarships & Local Financial Assistance

Available to those who qualify.

BELBO Beauty Institute-Shreveport Individuals may be eligible for Title IV assistance if ALL the following qualifications are met:

  • Currently enrolled in an eligible BELBO Beauty Institute program

  • Holds a valid social security number

  • Is a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen

  • Not in default on any Federal (Title IV) student loan

  • Does not owe a repayment on any federal grant

  • Possesses a high school diploma or its equivalency

  • Can demonstrate Selective Service registration (males only)

  • Never been convicted of a drug offense while receiving federal financial aid

  • Maintains Satisfactory Academic Progress

Federal Pell Grant

The Federal Pell Grant Program provides financial assistance to students that meet financial need set by the federal government. They are available to students who demonstrate financial need, based on a federal formula and who have not already received a bachelor’s degree. Grants do not have to be repaid.

  • Subsidized Federal Direct Loan
    Subsidized Federal Direct Loans have a variable interest rate. Eligibility is based on financial need. This is a loan that must be paid back. If you are eligible, you may borrow once per academic year as long as all the required paperwork has been completed. The federal government pays the interest on a Subsidized Federal Direct Loan while you attend school, during the grace period (first six months after you leave school) and during periods of deferment. Your first payment is due six months after you leave school. To get this started, you will need to complete the FAFSA form. You can complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. The school code for Guy’s Academy is 017375.

  • Unsubsidized Federal Direct Loan
    Unsubsidized Federal Direct Loans have a variable interest rate. This is a loan that must be paid back. You are responsible for the interest that accrues on the Unsubsidized Loan while you are in school and during your grace period. Your first payment is due six months after you leave school unless you choose to pay the interest on this loan while you are in school.

  • Federal Direct Plus Loan (Parent Loan)
    These loans are borrowed by the parents of dependent students. The PLUS loan has a variable interest rate. The parent starts paying on the PLUS loan within 60 days after the loan is fully disbursed.

  • BELBO Beauty Institute is state-approved to train and offer financial assistance to veterans, as well as dependents and survivors (children & spouses) of veterans.

  • Individuals interested in obtaining more information should contact the Veteran’s Affairs at 1-888-442-4551 or start the application process with VONAPP at www.gibill.va.gov.
